Some Brewer Insight
As I have said before it is exciting to see Spring Training in full force, with the first game next week, I cannot wait. But there is something that is truly concerning me about the Brewers, Geoff Jenkins and Kevin Mench. Both of them are acting like assholes right now in my opinion, both think they should be starting and no platooning. What ever happened to making your club better? Geoff used to be one of my favorite players and still backed him during his slump last year although now it is all out the window. He sucks against lefties, .245 overall I believe and probably damn near a billion strikeouts. Mench with his gigantic head, is a .335 overall hitter against lefties, HOW DOES THIS NOT WORK?!!?!?! It is mind boggling to think that both players would get the face the players they want and produce for the TEAM. I guess it just does not happen that way anymore.
I am calling it right now that J.J. Hardy will have a huge year based on what I have read in the Journal and his stats previous to the last couple of years. He is going to be a defensive star and a force at the 2 spot in the lineup for the Brew Crew.
Also wish I could snag some opening day ticks but I do not feel like waiting in line for them in the morning basically because I am lazy and will go the next day. I love the whole aura of opening day, it is the start of the nation pastime but it not something I have to be at.
