Kobe 4 MVP

I would not call myself a big fan of Kobe Bryant, I think he is a great player but would not make my top 5 players in the NBA right now. That stems from when Kobe was a rookie or his second season, I rocked his yellow #8 jersey but no one really knew at my age who he was. Then he exploded on to the scene, and if I wore I just felt like 6 other kids rockin Laker Jerseys of either Kobe or Shaq.

Anyways...

I think without question that Kobe Bryant deserves to be the MVP this season. The man averaged 40.4 points a game in the month of March, that is just incredible feat that only the great Wilt Chamberlain has done. Now everyone will argue that his team is not a top team in the West therefore not deserving the award because he has not produced victories. I say that's bullshit because if you take away Kobe, this team would be one of the five worst in the NBA and doesn't that mean Kobe is the Most Valuable Player to his team?

I guess another thing I do not understand is the media love affair with Steve Nash. I like Nash too but he has not done jack shit in the postseason, they should of lost in the first round to Bryant's Lakers last year then once again fail to even make the NBA Finals. You take him out of the Suns lineup and put in a guy say Mo Williams that team would still thrive almost to the same level as Nash does. Nash no way no how in my opinion deserves a 3rd straight MVP.

That's all for today, maybe another late night special tomorrow on the Final Four if not double posts on MLB Predictions and the Final Four...

Good Night

Pacman Jones and Chris Henry: Why Can't They Stay Out of Trouble?

I think that we should just play the beginning of every Akon song when a story about Pacman Jones or Chris Henry comes on, "Konvict" and the jail slams shut. As a player, I think Pacman is as sweet as they come, first off his nickname is Pacman, second off he has sweet dreads (mostly any NFL player in dreads is one of my favorites).
Pacman Jones has not be able to stay out of trouble since his college years, he just keeps getting involved with the wrong people and goes to the wrong places. He just cannot seem to keep his head on straight and that baffles me. He was the 6th overall pick and he is expected to be a franchise player which is damn near impossible when he is getting into shit every 2 weeks it seems. I think the comish should suspend him for most of the season or for the entire season. He needs to take a step back and realize what he is doing to his team.
Chris Henry and practically the rest of the Bengals (except for my man Chad) cannot keep themselves out of shit. Henry needs to be cut, period. He is becoming a cancer with now his four strike, doesn't that mean you are already out? He is somewhat valuable to Cincinnati but he is a slot WR and now they are without Kelly Washington, so Cincy has put themselves at a dilemma. They should just draft a WR to replace him, and as a team suspend him for the year or just get rid of him.
That's all, I am off to bed who knows what I will post tomorrow or the next, later

Final Four: The Winners, The Losers, and Billy Donovan

One of the best times of the year is upon us with the Final Four weekend being this Saturday and all of the teams are great, making for one of the best Final Four's in recent years. I am going to give my breakdown, my prediction for the final game, and the real reason Florida will not repeat.

Florida: If there is one team I do not want to see win, its these guys. Even though I like the play of Hortford and Brewer, I cannot stand the rest of the team especially Noah. He just bothers me because he is way over the top on this whole energy shit and is sometimes the 4th best player on the court for the Gators, he acts like its all about him. Now to reason why Florida will lose to the Bruins.... Billy Donovan. I see all the talks about him going to the University of Kentucky as the ultimate distraction for these Gators. I personally wouldn't like the fact that my coach was being brought up in talks before the season even ended. When the media is talking about the Gators, the focus is on the coach, not the players.

UCLA: Not many though the Bruins could come back after dropping their last two games on the season, but man are they playing good defense. They looked damn impressive against a very explosive Kansas team who could not get the ball inside the entire game. Aaron Affalo might be playing the best out of anybody in the Final Four, he is has been stroking the ball and the perimeter D has been awesome. Matta and Mat Moute (spelling I really cannot say his name, my bad) are the true keys for them to not get in foul trouble against the Gators.

When its all said and done UCLA 67-61

OSU: First off they should be out of the tourney thanks to Xavier and the enforcer in Greg Oden. Anyways this team is resilient than anyone else and will be able to come back against almost anyone. Mike Conley is also playing some of the best ball, he does every thing for his team and rarely turns the ball over. Oden had an okay regional round, he did not do much because of foul trouble, it will be key for him to stay out of foul trouble.

GTOWN: Hoya Paranoia is back ladies and gents. I remember watching the Marquette run into the buzz saw called Gtown during February, they were just dominate. I thought their guards would not be good enough to keep up with UNC's guards, but I was wrong, they are able to keep up with anyone, which makes them damn scary. Green and Hibbert are plenty enough to win the game inside, if the guards come to play again on Saturday, GTown will beat the Buckeyes. Gtown 73-65

Jimmy Clausen- A Change in Opinion

-Alright when I saw this picture during the fall, I thought to myself... This guy is the biggest jackass that has come out of football in a long time. He just breathes tool to me, fully spiked hair, comes in a stretch hummer and is sporting all of his football rings. Also talks during his commitment speech about winning four national titles in four years, gimme break. I say I like ND Football but I am not a huge fan like others I know. To me by first glance, he was going to be the J.J. Redick of College Football.

Now fast forward a couple months

My mind is totally different on him and excited to see how he does. Reason being is thanks to ESPN the Magazine which I was just paging through when I stopped to read an article on a guy from ESPN who got invited to the Brewers spring training camp then came the Clausen article which I decided to read as well. My mind was blown with how hard he works on becoming the best athlete he possibly can. His trainer says he works harder than most elite NFL Prospects he has trained, which to me at age 18 is mind blowing. He also made sure to take extra classes his junior year plus summer school so he could be at Norte Dame for Spring Practice. He also after choosing Norte Dame has studied the audibles of Brady Quinn. All this kid cares about is ND Football, he eats, sleeps, and breathes it. He has the right supporting cast to make him good enough to start as true freshman but Demertius Jones is very good as well. Another thing that showed his dedication is that he was at his first team workout at 5:45 instead of 6 AM this guy wants to be the starter no matter what.

Good Luck Jimmy

So I am Back Once Again

I know no one reads this yet but once again I have decided to try to write a blog at least 3 times a week and I would be pleased if it could be everyday. So here are my NCAA Thoughts and a couple others.

-First off on the NCAA tourney, I am an idiot for missing two days of school for a less than stellar basketball. Go figure, the one year I decided to just not go to school I am watching average basketball. Well whatever it was still fun watching the second day with my friends and enjoying the great time. But here are my overall thoughts....

EAST- I will start off with my favorite team Marquette. I know you are now all feeling bad for me, watching the beginning of that awful game. I wanted to shoot my eyes out with how poor they came out of the gates. I could not believe they would play that piss-poor against Mich State, glad MU did not face Carolina who is my ultimate winner. How is that Texas pick to final four looking? They were too young to do anything major in the tourney, just because they have a phenom doesn't mean everyone will come to play. Derrick Byers is a monster and I could see Vandy beating Gtown. Gtown just keeps winning and Jeff Green's dunk was sick.

MIDWEST- Now this bracket made me very happy for a bunch of reasons. The Badgers lost, HIGH FIVE! They were the most disappointing team of the tournament by far, they absolutely sucked all throughout the tourney. I did not get why not (even as much as I hate him) put in Brian Butch, he was medically cleared to play but they would not let him play. That was very ignorant on Mr. Ryan behalf because everybody knows damn well that he wanted him fully healthy for the Sweet 16. Good luck next year, they will be 4th-6th in the Big Ten. Butler, I don't understand how they win, Butler doesnt have a guy above 6'7 and still wins games! Also they looked like shit going down the stretch and couldn't win the Horizon League, a crappy conference despite that they are in the Sweet 16. Good luck against another team I hate, Florida. Maybe one of the ankle biters on Butlers will drill Noah in the knee.

SOUTH- My darlings of the tourney, Texas A&M has escaped in the first two rounds which is reminding me alot of MU run in 03 but now they have two huge games against Memphis who is athletic as all hell but free throws could kill them, furthermore if they advance OSU or Tenn will be a great challenge. OSU should not even be in it and we should all be talking about Xavier. Piss poor defense on that 3 pointer by Lewis and Oden should of been T'd up with the cross check. I didnt really mind Oden until then, now he can just become a big bust, that was a cheap play and maybe OSU will have the "buckeyes" to play Xaiver.

WEST- Nothing really major out of here, everyone has gone down the way its suppose to. The only bright sport was VCU. They knocked off Duke which put a smile on everybody faces. Maynar has ice in his veins with that shot and then to bring them back in the second game was incredible.

On to other news......

Joey Porter needs to calm the F down. He was accused of punching Levi Jones of the Bengals at a casino in Vegas because he got all worked up over some shit talking. Aww poor Joey you can run your mouth but you cannot back it up. Joey Porter can join Greg Oden. As PTI said it "At least the Bengals were on the other end"

David Wells has diabetes, I bet no one saw this one coming. Hopefully he fights through it and has a good season. Still pretty incredible at his weight and age, he is still pitching baseball.

Also a fight broke out in a championship game in New York City at the MSG. 21 were arrested and they were mostly teens. As a teen, that is sad to see one of the sports I love getting ruined by thugs who get mad at one thing a opposing team said and needs to pop off a shot to look like your the shit. When I am parent, I will likely be watching the games by myself and not here the true greatness of the student sections.
