Some Brewer Insight

As I have said before it is exciting to see Spring Training in full force, with the first game next week, I cannot wait. But there is something that is truly concerning me about the Brewers, Geoff Jenkins and Kevin Mench. Both of them are acting like assholes right now in my opinion, both think they should be starting and no platooning. What ever happened to making your club better? Geoff used to be one of my favorite players and still backed him during his slump last year although now it is all out the window. He sucks against lefties, .245 overall I believe and probably damn near a billion strikeouts. Mench with his gigantic head, is a .335 overall hitter against lefties, HOW DOES THIS NOT WORK?!!?!?! It is mind boggling to think that both players would get the face the players they want and produce for the TEAM. I guess it just does not happen that way anymore.
I am calling it right now that J.J. Hardy will have a huge year based on what I have read in the Journal and his stats previous to the last couple of years. He is going to be a defensive star and a force at the 2 spot in the lineup for the Brew Crew.
Also wish I could snag some opening day ticks but I do not feel like waiting in line for them in the morning basically because I am lazy and will go the next day. I love the whole aura of opening day, it is the start of the nation pastime but it not something I have to be at.

Down Goes Bucky

I did not have much time to post today due to pure laziness and my high schools' basketball game tonight but the big story of yesterday was the Badgers getting beat by the Spartans of Michigan State.
I also did not get to see much of this game either but here are some general thoughts from what I read and from what I have heard. It seemed like the 2-3 zone really affected the Badgers, they just jacked threes esp. Flowers which surprised me because he is one of the better guys to pass the ball to find the open man. Kam Taylor was nowhere to be seen last night, he did nothing for them which is a big concern for the Badgers. I am now feeling like a genius when I said how bad is Brian Butch would be when everyone was hyping him up. Almost all of my badger buddies are getting so mad with his horrible play of late, he just doesnt step up when the nat'l spotlight is on or against a great team (minus Pitt). He or another one of the big men need to have a big game against OSU. I will give my prediction Saturday...
Side note on the OSU-UW game, a couple people poised the question who would be #1 if UW were to win? I would say Florida which pains me unless UNC or UCLA looks damn impressive in their games on the weekend or UF plays horribly in theirs.

So long for now
Chuck.

Random Thoughts of the Day

First off
-Good to see Marquette get back on the winning track after losing three straight, I was in attendance which I had not been to a game in two years. The overall crowd was electric and that was awesome to see. Lazar Hayward had a huge game, which I think is a good sign for the future. Dominic James looked better than in recent games with having 18 points but it was not anything special as you will learn I am not the biggest fan of James because he just seems arrogant when he is out on the court.

-As being a Marquette fan, I really do not like Wisconsin basketball so it pained me to see how well the Badgers have done this year. I do respect the team overall, I like Tucker and Bo Ryan, although I HATE BRIAN BUTCH! I do not know what it is but he just pisses me off. Kinda like UW fans with Travis Diener who they all hated yet never gave me a reason why. So to see them at #1 hurts but it is good for the state of Wisconsin, they better not look past Michigan State because I could see an upset. MSU conference scoring is 9th in the Big Ten which is not the greatest scoring conference so if UW can get out early, I see them winning big but I think MSU actually holds it close but loses by 5

-NBA is at its half way and guess what? The Bucks suck, they need to do something either a.) Fire Stotts which is unlikely since the Dairy Queen does not fire people he likes or b.) Make a big trade to help the Bucks but do not get rid of Bogut.

-Well I am loving that Spring Training is under way and hope that Brewers stay out of injuries meaning they are at full strength for Opening Day.

-I do not understand the Bears whatsoever, lets not resign our defensive coordinator after going to the Super Bowl, real smart Chicago. Then again it is the Bears, but I just to not get it. My buddy Steve says that "Rivera will end up at Detroit as the head coach" I could see it if Marinelli has another bad year but if he gets better than I do not think he moves for awhile.

-Final thought is on NASCAR, I dont like the "sport" that much and I did not see the great finish, therefore I really could care less. For what its worth Harvick deserves it and why did Mark Martin get rid of the Viagra car?

Hey again

I dont really know if anyone reads this at all but I decided to renew my sports blog because I got time to post almost every day. But until I graduate from High School I will not post anything on High School Sports but after that I will drop in a few comments here or there.
I hope people will come across this......
